Scrolling back through the history of Æmber's appearances, I confirmed a suspicion. While she may not be able to get rid of her force field cube, she does seem able to change its size. In at least one frame, it was easily tall enough for her to stand up in it, even if we didn't see her doing so. On this page, we see it about half that height, so that she has to be curled up pretty tightly.
